Following closely the guidelines laid down by the local authority and covering all the core components, the Mathematics Standard Programme is designed primarily to encourage students to tackle maths problems they might encounter in school or in real life. Tackling maths problem involves both computation methodology and the thinking process. The programme walks the student through computation skills but focuses more on the logical deduction process leading to solving real-life problems. Designed with a view to enhance self-learning, the programme includes a lot of illustrations and examples in each unit and step-by-step guidance is given to help the students through  the problem-solving process.

Apart from the induction to computation skills, a large variety of application problems, many of them in long question format, are presented to further students  understanding in mathematics principles, which eventually help them build up their confidence in maths.

Furthermore, our curriculum is planned to include enough spiral learning content without boring repetition so that students can progress comfortably at their own pace. In the extended learning section, students are challenged to dig deeper and think harder. Through personalized starting points and step-by-step progress, students can master the underlying theory and become well-versed in solving maths problems.

The current programme covers students from kindergarten level to F3 (i.e. K-9)
