Chinese Elite Programme

The Shane Chinese Elite Programme is an enhanced version of the standard programme and is intended for students who are keen to learn more about Chinese language and culture. It is also suitable for students who love to read Chinese literature. The programme involves intensive reading and writing exercises and focuses on developing the subtle skills of the use of the Chinese language.

The Elite Programme has an integrated curriculum and has a structure very similar to the Standard Programme. Much emphasis is placed on reading and writing in this programme. Essays selected for the reading comprehension are either written by renowned writers from the past or belonging to the realm of Chinese literature. There are considerably more classical Chinese essays in the reading comprehension section and an explanation is given in modern language for any clarification of ambiguity.

Chinese culture is also introduced in the form of extra reading topics which carries the dual purpose of inspiring ethical values.

The current programme covers students from kindergarten level to F3 (i.e. K-9)
